Household utility help available for Phoenix low income residents

[Source: City of Phoenix] — Qualified Phoenix residents may be eligible to participate in the city of Phoenix Utility Repair and Replacement Program.  The program, coordinated by the city’s Human Services Department, provides emergency repair and replacement services to low-income households.  Eligible applicants may receive services including water heaters, air conditioners (minor repairs), cooking stoves, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, furnaces, and minor plumbing repairs.

To be eligible, residents must not have received services from the program in the past 12 months.  Households must be below 200% of the poverty guideline.  All applicants must provide proof of legal residency or citizenship.  Assistance is offered as long as funding is available.  To obtain a list of documents needed to verify eligibility, schedule an appointment or learn more about the program, call 602-262-4520.
