WHAT: A decorated cake contest and ice cream churn-off. Market goers will vote for the best-decorated cake and favorite ice cream. There will also be a non-professional “bake sale” category
WHEN: Wednesday, October 27. Cake display, ice cream sampling and informal voting from 4 to 6 p.m. 6 pm cake cutting and serving
WHERE: Phoenix Public Market, 14 E. Pierce Street, Phoenix. A “birthday” booth in the outdoor market
REQUEST: For bakers they’re looking for a cake creatively decorated with a market theme, any size.*** For ice cream makers, they’d like you to serve up to 200 small samples, preferably highlighting a local ingredient. If necessary, you may drop off your donations, but they’d prefer to have you stay and promote your business.
