Our friends and neighbors to the north in the Midtown Museum District have sent out an update of things happening in their neighborhood:
July is National Hot Dog Month and National Ice Cream Month. Three cheers for July!
Tomorrow, July 17th is National Ice Cream Day. The Pink Spot at 49 W Thomas is celebrating with Lobster Ice Cream, but they do still have other flavors.
Next Saturday, July 23rd is National Hot Dog Day. Johnnie’s Chicago Red Hots at 53 W Thomas is open Saturday from 10am – 3pm.
Also next Saturday evening, July 23rd at 8:00pm Councilman Michael Nowakowski is sponsoring a Movie in Hance Park (west side) for the whole family. Before the movie at 7:00 there will be a craft project of making owl puppets. Bring your blanket or chairs for Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.
And starting next Saturday through September 10th, there will be a Summer Chef Series at the Phoenix Public Market, Central and Pierce. Devour Phoenix and the Phoenix Public Market will bring you some of the Valley’s finest chefs for Saturday afternoon cooking classes. Reservations are required for these two hour classes. The cost is $45 per class, which includes tastings and recipes.
