City of Scottsdale Economic Vitality General Manager Dave Roderique ends his 22-and-a-half-year career with the city on Feb. 22 to take over the President/CEO job at Downtown Phoenix Partnership, a public-private partnership established to promote economic development and manage the business improvement district in downtown. Roderique called it “an opportunity too great to pass up.”
“I look back on my years with the city with great fondness and a tremendous sense of pride,” he said, citing the city’s strong economic base, internationally recognized tourism industry, revitalized downtown with $3 billion in investment, and the city’s AAA bond rating as highlights.
