City announces measures to curb COVID-19 spread and promote social distancing

The City of Phoenix has announced several measures it plans to implement to curb the spread of COVID-19 and promote social distancing, including:

• Suspended all public programming in libraries and parks
• Appointed a full-time employee to manage the needs of people experiencing homelessness and the organizations that serve them
• Suspended temporarily evictions from public housing, and called on officials to consider a statewide moratorium on all evictions
