Can we discuss this in a civil manner, please?

The Arizona Humanities Council invites you to join nationally-known political strategist and communications expert, Mike McCurry, in conversation about the causes and solutions to the current dismal state of political discourse in the media.  McCurry, former Press Secretary to President Bill Clinton, kicks off the first in a number of Valley-wide “Project Civil Discourse” events.

Americans are tired of polarized political bickering and journalists who stir the pot with divisive language designed to rake in big ratings numbers.  We are losing the opportunity to educate ourselves about issues so that we can work together effectively to make informed decisions about our collective future.  What can we do to alter the tone of media coverage?  How do we take responsibility to affect this change?
