Jay-walking across Phoenix light rail tracks carries stiff fine

[Source: Colton Shone, KTAR] — A warning for Arizona State University students: jaywalking across the light rail tracks will cost you money.  Police said a handful of students and faculty members have been crossing the tracks illegally near ASU’s campuses in Tempe and in downtown Phoenix.  Officers have been issuing warnings so far.  “Starting next week, those officers will issue citations,” said Jim Hardina with ASU Campus Police.  The fine is $165, he said.  [Note: To read the full article, click here.]
