From time to time, we’ll throw out an “Idea of the Day” culled from sources here in Arizona and elsewhere.  Making livable communities that successfully meet the needs of people age 50 and older is the focus of AARP’s “Beyond 50.05 A Report to the Nation on Livable Communities: Creating Environments for Successful Aging.”  The report’s focus is how livable will communities be as their residents age.  Click here to read the report and take an assessment of the 50-plus livability of your community.  Thanks to the Project for Livable Communities for passing this information along.
